Alan Williams: Go for the special Huevos Rancheros plate with Carne Guisada. Good, good, good! Fresh pan dulce for your sweet tooth. Take a cookie or two home with you.
Alan Williams: Small little hole in the wall but the tortillas may be the best in town. It's no accident that this place has been featured on The Food Network and Bon Appetite magazine.
Alan Williams: We jokingly call this place the Hot Water Cafe which is a loose translation. All the breakfast food here is good. Perhaps the best papas (potatoes) in town.
Alan Williams: Everything here is good. It's open late and has live music on the weekends. It's a fun place for a late night snack and people watching.
Alan Williams: The original. I'm a big fan of their enchiladas, which I think are the best in San Antonio but breakfast is hard to beat as well. Difficult to park but worth it.
Alan Williams: This is as close as I will get to a "gringo" taco place but I have to put them on my list because the Chilaquiles are outstanding. Everything is actually very good but it's not a hole in the wall.
