Hot spring pools are clean and well-maintained; comparable to Japanese onsen! Try avoiding holidays so you can truly relax without a ton of people in the pool.

Get on their mailing list for great specials that include accommodation, breakfast buffet and dinner.

I bring my sandwiches, snacks and drinks this time. Besides the breakfast buffet, the rest of food selection is below average.

Wifi didn't reach our room; there are no outlets near either bed; there were no robes in our room, but a sign that said we'd be charged for them if we took them... Need I continue?

TV reception is snowy. Bring a book and sit by the big fire place in the lobby area.

Bring slippers for when you hit the hot springs. The walk ways get pretty chilly during the winter!

Stay in the Towers; the original hotel still has rooms with that 1920s "ambience" you can't control the heat!

Make sure you have an extra $200 on your credit card when you check in. They put $200 plus your room charge on your credit card upon check-in.
