Awesome place if you're into 19th century American history. Mostly everything is open w/o restrictions so you can actually interact with things. The gift store is nice too. Got a book printed in 1901.
Most well-known dinosaurs have been discovered near Dinosaur Ridge. These include Apatosaurus, Allosaurus, and Stegosaurus which is the official State Fossil of Colorado
While mining has stopped due to cost constraints, the mine's remaining gold has an estimated value of $25 million.
