- If in Terminal3 (virgin america) stop by gladstone's for the catch of the day. Todays special - Mahi Mahi in Ponzu sauce wrapped in Banana leaves! Awesome!
- Amanda11월 18, 2012LAX takes a little longer to get through than most airports so for a safe measure of time be sure to get here 2 hours before departure.
- If there's a chance you can fly out of any other airport, do it. Like LITERALLY any other airport. Or just drive.
- If you have an early flight and you rented a car while visiting LA/SoCal, do not return it early in the hopes of sleeping at the airport. Gates and TSA are closed until 4:30am. Sleep in your rental!
- Be patient, since @Delta changed terminals, make a connection from international to national, passing thru security check point, has begun to be a pain in the ass.
- Gladstones is really the only option for food or beverage. Grab a seat at the open seating area near the bar instead of waiting for a table.
- If you want a snack, get an iced coffee & muffin at @Starbucks ! I also got a Kit Kat from the Book Store for some quick energy after that long security line!
- Manoj Gilla4월 14, 2013If you know your bags gonna arrive late (happens when u check them late at the tine of boarding). I suggest to stay n spend time in the gates instead of walking to baggage claim. No foodspots down.
- If you arrive during rush hour and didn't check a bag, have your ride pick you up at 'Departing' to beat the crumpness. Enjoy.
- Ben Hernandez7월 6, 2017Allow plenty of time when flying American Eagle as you will be bus to their terminal from the main drop off point
- Steve Mann3월 21, 2020Some of their staff are good, others, not so good. It’s just like what happens everywhere else when some people don’t listen to suggestions, and others have to step in to insure that things are done.
- If you're flying @United there is a secret water/soda machine between 70's & 80's gates $1.50!
- Christian Ortiz5월 7, 2015A lot of options to get to and get off from it, but can be really messy with so many shuttles, buses, taxis, etc.
- Your gate inevitably is always one of the 17s all the way at the end.
- Malo Medina11월 18, 2014Get here two hours early! This is a very very busy airport and running late could result in a missed flight!
- Recommendation for American: Get it together. Security is a mess and backs up. Plan for that. Restaurants aren't reopened yet. Summertime travel welcomes you to the Cattle Zone. Terminal 4 needs work.
- The new farmers market in terminal 5 has yummy coffee plus great food!!
- Lauren4월 26, 2012The Alaska section of Terminal 6 is loaded with outlets and comfy seats--definitely the best spot to spend a layover.
- If you're flying out of Concourse C, eat before you get there as remodeling continues to drag on and there's little choice.
- PopWrapped!3월 12, 2013This airport isn't for the faint of heart. Be sure to give yourself PLENTY of time to get through security for morning/afternoon flights. Security can be insane.
- The most amazing place to sit and wait for your flight. In the Qantas Lounge.
- It is a horror show. poor signage especially to the rental car locations. Be patient each rental car brand has its own busses and they can go 20 minutes without one then three arrive at the same time.
- Kate Boyko4월 29, 2016I expected more. Very few food places and shops in domestic area. Plus, if you have an international transfer flight with a stop here - you would have to go out, pick your bags and change terminals.
- Big airport, if transiting from an international flight make sure to have 2-3 hr of layover. Staff here are slow and queue is long.
- CODi Inc.8월 4, 2011Concerned about your laptop's security at the checkpoint? Checkpoint-Friendly laptop cases are recognized by the TSA and allow your laptop to stay in the case for scanning.
- This airport is busy 24/7. Always allow yourself extra time going through TSA and getting to your designated gate.
- As for a room if you have two cats to get past security. Easier than taking them out with a lot of activity happening.
- Lax-it is unsafe with its overcrowded buses, and lunatic drivers. Also the music in here is FULL VOLUME. WTAF?!
- The Amazing Race9월 14, 2011“The Amazing Race” trivia: Over the first 10 years, “The Amazing Race” has traveled approximately 586,000 miles total around the world!
- If you have a connecting flight with American Airlines and a very short lay over, don't worry all of the AA gates are close to each other.
- Give yourself extra time to get through security. Smile at your fellow travelers & even TSA. No one enjoys LAX; there's no need to make it worse. :)
- Ray Nagatani7월 27, 2013If you land at terminal 1 and are getting on any shuttle, you may save time walking across to terminal 7 for pickup. Traffic can make it take 30 minutes to pick up at each terminal.
- Adam7월 26, 2012Seating is sparse around gates. Way more people than seats available. Power outlets? You might be able to solve the US economy's issues in the time it will take you to find one.
- Make sure you get here 2 hours early for your flight. Security takes 15 minutes when you are early and over an hour when you are pressed for time.
- Everyone is hating. Nothing better than first class LA-NYC on American. The best airline food (amazingly) full bar, full beds. Cured my fear of flying!
- Be prepared to get there early if you are unfamiliar with it. Large airport with multiple terminals can make it somewhat confusing for newcomers.
- Crowded. Take the left exit for Terminal 7 for a shortcut or to go down to arrivals. Watch out, the 105 Exit is on the far right.
- The comfy lounge seats for Southwest are the best way to wait for your flight. They all have outlets too.
- TeamTRI says If you're driving into LAX around Gate 1 and need to get to Gate 6 or 7 use the cut across rather than drive the whole horseshoe. Saves time and hassle and is usually not crowded.
- Colin Lee6월 9, 2017If you're flying delta international flights, make sure to check your bags T3 first before heading o Bradley terminal
- Steph S4월 30, 2011First experience with Virgin America and it has been a painless experience so far. Couldn't ask for a smoother check-in... With great piped music to boot! :-)
- United departure parking structure #7 on 3rd floor ramp is quick way into the United gates
- If it is busy in the arrivals pickup area, try getting picked up on the departure level.
- when picking up, use the cell phone waiting lot off Sepulveda and 96. don't risk the ticket for parking at the curb.
- You're going to Hollywood, baby. But first you'll have to enter through this dated excuse for an airport. Watch out for the paparazzi.
- Want to be felt up by a stranger ??? The security here does a great job. Lol
