(alltech) . kentucky bourbon barrel ale™ with a little creative curiosity, we used spent bourbon casks, fresh from decanting, and filled them with our very own kentucky ale. from barrels that once held the finest bourbons of kentucky, we present kentucky bourbon barrel ale, a smooth, golden elixir unlike any other. subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrel. we attribute this to what the bourbon maker calls the "angel's share". elegantly smooth and modestly carbonated, kentucky bourbon barrel ale is a fine sipping ale with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted kentucky bourbon.

Coors brewing company (millercoors) . "belgian white ale" (north america) / "north american craft beer" (uk) brewed with oats for creaminess and spiced with the perfect combination of orange peel and coriander. an unfiltered wheat ale spiced in the belgian tradition for an uncommonly smooth taste. gold medalist (white beer) at 1995 world beer championships, silver medalist (white beer) at 1996 and 1997 world beer championships. 171 calories per 12-ounce serving and 5.4% abv.

Founders brewing company. you've got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, sumatra and kona coffee. we're actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. either way you can drink this ale with a fork. breakfast stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Mission brewery. a style of beer curiously born on the foggy shores of father junipero serra's first founding mission. our own vigorous entry is one rebellious ipa, quick on the trigger, and brimming with a bounty of hop ingenuity. this is a big, bold, brazen beer, a restless vision of a new america.

Smuttynose brewing company. for our hopping regime we went with cascade and nuggets in the boiling addition. centennials were added every 5 minutes for the last 30 minutes of the boil. we added crystals into the whirlpool. dry hopping was done in both the fermentor after primary fermentation and the bright tank. we used a mixture of chinook, nuggets, and sterlings in the fermentors and whole leaf centennials in the bright tank.

Bells brewery. india pale ale style well suited for hemingway-esque trips to the upper peninsula. american malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma. [note: this beer doesn't have bells in front of the name by explicit request from the brewer. update: larry has posted in the forums saying bells should be in front of the name now.

Three floyds brewing company. this refreshing continental-style pils has a light body combined with a pronounced noble hop aroma and a crisp dry finish. this is the perfect beer for easy flavorful drinking. brewed in collaboration with our friends at jinx proof tattoo in washington d.c. 35 ibu 5.1%abv.

Dark horse brewing company. for those of you who don't know who "scotty karate" is... he is a local one man band who plays an amazing slurry of honky tonk influenced, punk country songs. his voice is amazing as well as his high energy shows. (check him out @ www.scottykaratetime.com) so, we decided to make a beer and name it in his honor. this beer is a big, full bodied scottish ale. it is 9.75% alc. but it is very smooth and balanced. since scotty is also very passionate about beer i asked him to write a description for you, so from the man himself... aroma: smells like a fresh caramel apple with a hint of cinnamon inside of cranberry shortbread. or maybe fresh home made hard candy (from home economics class-7th grade) . flavor: tastes like a smokey chocolate chip cookie, wild roadside cherry-asparagus, woody, crispy leaf on a fall day.

Bockor. the beer cuvée des jacobins is unblended old lambic, aged for at least 18 months in (french) oak barrels from the cognac region. these oak barrels are called 'foeders' in dutch. it has a robust character but is beautiful and sophisticated with a full body and overtones of vanilla, dried cherry, stone fruit and cocoa. it is a complex, beautiful sour beer.

Bells brewery. drawn from one of our oldest recipes, smitten ale began as part of a series of rye beers at our eccentric café. the combination of sharp citrus & resinous flavors from the hops with the earthy, rustic overtones of the rye malt contribution yield an interesting take on the american pale ale.
