Mallory Napolitano: Nice spot that’s more reasonably priced than many restaurants and cafes in Sant’Angelo. Paninis good but don’t bother with the bruschetta.
Mallory Napolitano: Lovely locals beach, walk past the areas charging for sun beds and head to the area close to Marcos cafe bar to hangout on the sand.
Mallory Napolitano: Good selection and slightly different variations of pizzas. It feels quite chaotic in there but it was delicious and away from the crowds.
Mallory Napolitano: Speakeasy cocktail bar away from the crowds. Buzz the doorbell, smile and be polite, and you’ll be shown a table if they have one available. The negroni tasting cocktail was so delicious.
Mallory Napolitano: Queue on the left to order, and then wait on the right for your turn order to be called. All with pork of some kind apart from one simple tomato and provola filling which was delicious
Mallory Napolitano: Great little bar for craft beer, wine or cocktails - the negroni was delicious. More of a locals hangout full of young, effortlessly hip italiani
Mallory Napolitano: Lovely wine bar serving local organic wines and beers, also great for a limoncello spritz! A small snack menu if you get peckish. Keep an eye out for the mopeds going past!
Mallory Napolitano: One of the best meals I had in Roma - the pasta, the meatballs, the tiramisu… SO. GOOD. And despite its location behind the Trevi, not so touristy!
Mallory Napolitano: Come for taglieri platter and a glass of wine at aperitivo hour - large selection of wines and the cheeses/meats were pretty good too
Mallory Napolitano: The tour takes 1 hr and costs 10 eur, gift shop and snack vending machines available. It shuts for 2 hrs over lunchtime so check before you arrive - lovely, different experience
Mallory Napolitano: Loved this place! You can ask for a plate of cheese and he’ll (Luca) create something to your taste and recommend an accompanying wine. He often has a few other seasonal dishes available too.

Mallory Napolitano: Love love looove it. Come for the produce to take home, or come for a crawl of the various little food stalls. There are a few organised tasting tours available too.
Mallory Napolitano: It was good…! Not amazing but pastas were pretty tasty. Nice selection of antipasti, pastas and secondi. The ricotta and cherry torta was delicious!

Mallory Napolitano: Of course worth a visit if you’re a Belgian beer buff, wide selection on draft and cans/bottles - they do a few aperitivo beer cocktails and tagliere platters but maybe give those a miss
Mallory Napolitano: Delicious gelato with a few unusual flavours and lovely service - not one of the insta-tourist gelato places, so no queues, hurrah!
Mallory Napolitano: Go for a caffe or gin tonic in their serene cafe restaurant in the courtyard. Yes, it’s pricy (it’s a 5 star hotel after all), but worth it for a little quiet away from the crowds.
Mallory Napolitano: AMAZING FOOD. It looks like a simple cafe (which puts off a lot of tourists) but food is restaurant quality. Get some fritti to start and then one of their many delicious pastas.
Mallory Napolitano: Traditional pizza taglia, they’ll snip the slice to how hungry you feel - the zucchini and mozz, and zucchini and prosciutto were both delish
Mallory Napolitano: Pay at the till to order and get your ticket, then take to the bar for them to prepare - delicious and cheap - 90c espresso, 2.5 spritz, takeaway and drink in the square if it’s too busy
