Delicious and cute but teeny tiny. The Gorgonzola E Pere (gorgonzola and pear) is fantastic as is the Tartufata (mushrooms and truffle oil).
The Espresso Old Fashioned is sophisticated and delicious. Shot of espresso shaken with ice, orange peel, bitters, and whiskey simple syrup with sparkling water.
Seating looks limited, but EggHaus shares a large space in the back with King’s Bierhaus. Plenty of large tables (table buzzers work back there).
If you’re into New York style, this is your place in Houston. The straight up pepperoni slice is excellent — especially if fresh.
The fried chicken itself is not all that flavorful. But pair it with the bacon jalapeño marmalade sauce… fantastic.
Don’t expect a speedy coffee pit stop but for good reasons. The interior is tiny but so quaint. And the proprietors and staff are so generous and talkative.
It’s at the end of the dusk light sequence when the beauty of the evening sky comes through. Such rich shades of blue you might never have noticed before.
