The Drottningholm Palace estate is a UNESCO World Heritage listed site. Parts of the palace is open to the public, the other part is the private home of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

Riddarholmskyrkan functions as a museum. This is were many of the Swedish Royals are buried. It is only opened during the summer months. Well worth a visit! Entry fee.
George Carl von Döbeln, a Swedish Baron, Lieutenant General and War Hero lies buried here. He died in 1820 after serving the Swedish troupes for many years.

Just beautiful on a summers day - there are lots of walking tracks, big lawns to throw a frisbee, various cafés, a nursery, butterfly house, etc. Worth spending a full day checking it out.

This is my absolute favorite cafe in Stockholm. Such a unique, historic atmosphere! Love their lasagna and kladdkaka (chocolate cake of sorts) and the staff/owner family are great. Not to be missed!
