- Mariya Fed6월 14, 2016It's very cozy (small) but the food comes out very quickly and the staff is extremely nice. I had the Iraqi pita pocket and it wasn't my favorite thing in the world. The hummus is great!
- Michelle C5월 29, 2016Slow and uneven, but polite service. Delicious, healthy menu. Very trendy and intimate atmosphere. Perfect for date night or going out with a friend.
- Serious Eats3월 13, 2013Far and away the best hummus in NYC; try it with ground beef on top (trust us). And don't miss their excellent vegetable side dishes, either.
- Dina4월 24, 2014Worth the trek to Brooklyn if you're a hummus lover. It's fantastic and always fresh. The rest of the menu is tasty Israeli home-food cooking. Good brunch and lunch options. Cheap.
- Jeffrey7월 20, 2014Mimi Kitani is known for her hummus, which she blends with lemon and garlic, enriches with olive oil, and tops with everything from fava beans to cinnamon-tinged ground beef.
- Marie Richer3월 26, 2023Labneh was so creamy and delicious with roasted beet salad. Everyone who works here is nice too.
- Jacqueline Huie11월 3, 2017The Hummus of course and the braised beets. The Branzino 😋And Best of all you get 10% off at Cortelyou Craft Beer next door for eating at Mimi’s!
- Carmen N5월 24, 2015Yes, I do pretty much like everything here. But I especially like the hummus with meat, the labane, and the spiced carrots with feta.
- Bon4월 19, 2020Obvi the fluffiest hummus but also baba ganoush and tzatziki and the pita also so fluffy
- For brunch get Mimi's open faced sandwich with labne roasted pepper and sautéed eggplant -- it's the sh*t. Shakshouka pretty solid too.
- Elie Bleier12월 28, 2014Top tier hummus. Green shakshuka and cauliflower salad were super tasty as well. Will be returning very soon!
- EchoDA1월 21, 2013Yummy brunch and great looks in this tiny spot! a good place for spending a couple of delicious hours on a Sunday morning.
- Emily K.1월 11, 2015Easily the best hummus restaurant in NYC. The mushroom hummus is out of this world.
- Tochtli Digital11월 4, 2012Really good and testy but small portion, even the water glasses are small, small space, small meals, big flavor and big prices... EXPENSIVE, but excellent quality.

- Carmen N8월 9, 2014Really really good hummus (duh!) but tiny place. Try something different each time!
- Wayne Bennett7월 7, 2014Yes the hummus is very good. But overall the menu needs more diversity and room for standard fare. Their specialty shop next door is not so special.
- Anna Tovkun6월 18, 2017Get the Mimi's sandwich! The hummus is alright, not great. Skip the cauliflower salad.
- Paige Finn1월 6, 2011How can you leave and NOT get the hummus??!! So amazing. The sage mint tea is pretty special too.
- Lalita Salgaokar9월 22, 2019Didn’t like it at all. The hummus wasn’t great. The tomato sauce in the shakshuka tasted straight out a can (yuck). Would say skip this place tons of good establishments around.
- Jessica Ramirez11월 9, 2011The filo dough stuffed with ground meat and spices is too good not to try.
- Margaret Suh6월 27, 2016Don't bother with the shakshuka. $2 for sausage only gets you a few itty bits, and pita costs another $1 on top. Overall very disappointed!
- Sally Zemmol12월 31, 2013The food was great but I walked out with all my clothing and bags smelling like foot for days. Not going back anytime soon.
- Wayne Bennett9월 8, 2014Why they turned the specialty food store next door into a beer shop is beyond me.
