Great wine selection, and affordable. If they have the coq au vin, definitely get it - warm, hearty and delicious.
Fresh, home made Italian food with wine on TAP! Pastas are all great, but the pizzas are really where it's at. Thin, crispy and great ingredients.
Limited menu, but the coffee is locally roasted and the lentil burger is great (even for non-vegetarians such as myself).
Great atmosphere and always has a great selection of beers to pair with the burgers. Get the fries basket with various dipping sauces and the sliders.

Great little family-owned place. The bagels are always fresh, they have a solid selection of spreads and the staff is "good people". My personal fav is the nine grain bagel with scallion cream cheese.
This is a no frills establishment,so take it to go. Get a Combo with chicken, rice and beans or the Lomo or Pollo Saltado - chicken or beef sauteed with fries, onions, tomatoes, secret sauce on rice.
Do NOT try to ask for substitutions here, the chef will bite your head off. However, there's really no need, the chef really knows what he's doing and the food is always on-point. Try the duck!
No need to go to manhattan for some great Venezuelan-style arepas, and certainly no need to wait. Try the Mami or the Guayanese Tropical.
This place is a classic establishment - the beer selection is not large, but what they have is great. I like the Franziskaner with the potato pierogies.
Delicious and belly-filling, you can't go wrong with anything, but be sure to ask about specials. The Tonkotsu Shoyu is quite possibly the best soup I've ever had, and the gyoza are great too!
