We always order special Chirashi.it's not on menu and current price $38 to $42 for one. price is high but this is the most dericious Chirashi I've ever had :) very fresh and melt in my mouth! :')

Realized how authentic this Izakaya joint is when it was clear we were the only party amongst all staff and patrons who properly spoke languages other than Japanese.
Don't be scared of the long line, it moves fast! As others have mentioned, cash only. Well worth your time; easily amongst the very best cheap eats in Waikiki. Highly recommended.

Walk to towards the Diamond Head Lighthouse. You'll pass a small garden area along the wall that the local surfers created and maintain themselves.
Respect these submariners. They slept directly on top of torpedoes!
Ignore the guy who said "do not do this." It's really not that difficult! Water, pace yourself, wear good tennis shoes & sunscreen, go earlier in the day, etc. BEAUTIFUL view, very much worth it.
