P P: One of my favourites of Madrid was eating here this and its sister restaurants. Basically the concept is haute-cuisine but at a really cheap price as their staff tend to be chef's in training.
P P: This is touristy but I like it because you are transported to an underground philosophical den with proverbs written on the wall. They basically serve only 'Sangria' and it is a great place for that.
P P: This is an Madrid must-do experience although it can get touristy and crowded. The concept is simple you order beers and they give you the tapas for free. Try the Mojito as well, its big and special.
P P: Museo del Jamon (literally 'Museum of Ham') is a Madrid institution for many years. Here its worth just going in ordering a plate of jamon and cheese and a glass of cheap beer and enjoy the chaos.
P P: A really special place as it take the traditional and tasty Spanish 'croquetas' and gives it a haute cuisine twist with great ingredients and experimental flavours.
P P: The less visited indoor food and drink market (the other is the famous Mercado San Miguel). The reason I recommend this one is its local atmosphere and great for pre-Friday drinks or food.
P P: This is a mix of a very traditional Andalusian restaurant with a rooftop restaurant with a great view. Great place to enjoy a sunset and homemade food.
