Alexander Wolff8월 4, 2012Be sure to check your bag if it's even remotely over carry-on size. I hadn't had to check a certain bag anywhere in the world until here and the lady was nasty and made me wait in more lines. Not cool
SANPARK Pacific Hwy has new bus design. Still blue, but signs look diff. Read carefully so you don't miss it!
The cell phone lot is the best invention ever. Makes pick ups so very easy.
If flying Southwest out of term 1, leave extra time. 90 mins or more.

No matter how early your flight is, all ticket counters don't open till 5 am!
If you are flying United to Houston or a couple other destinations, note that they fly from Terminal 2.
Jess Knippenberg6월 22, 2013US Airways is one of the worst airlines to travel with. I hate leaving poor reviews, but when I see plenty of empty cabin space and am told there is no more room to store my 1 carry on, I get pissed.

Jeannie9월 7, 2011There are 3 terminals total. 1, 2 and the no-frills commuter terminal. Flights to LA are via the commuter terminal. Supershuttle and some buses do not serve the commuter terminal. Have to call them.
I was surprised to learn that San Diego doesn't mean A Whale's Vagina.
Southwest security line gets ridiculously backed up; not to mention slow... Arrive early if going through security in this area of the airport!
Beer and a shot special at Karl Strauss in Terminal 2. Start your trip right.
It takes awhile to get your bags from baggage claim so if someone is picking you up, plan accordingly

beware, the southwest line to check bags can be VERY long and may cause you to miss your flight
TSA lines are quite often backed up. Not unusual to have 30-45 minute lines. I know because I am a flight attendant and I've seen it many many times.
If you want a banana, pass by the $2.79 Nathan's and get the $1.20 Starbucks banana.
If you're military go through the first class lines, they'll let you.
The San Diego International Airport has begun its largest building project ever - and it will have Silver LEED status!
Parking for terminal 2 is closed, so watch the signs or just park at terminal 1.
Terminal 2 construction makes picking up/dropping off a horrible experience. Allow yourself enough time (and tons of patience). Have to park in offsite lots. Can't wait for construction to be done.
