Shaka Burrito

Gimmicky & pricey "Hawaiian" themed taqueria that serves "healthier" tacos, quesadillas, burritos, rice bowls w/ more toppings & sauce than meat. FYI: adding pineapple to all doesn't make it Hawaiian!

Shaka Burrito rules! They hv a healthy twist of Hawaiian & Mexican wrapped up in 1. "Represent The Positive" is their motto & they live up to it. They promote an earth conscious vibe w/delicious food.

Love this place, what could be better than organic mexican fast food! Super nice staff, clean, and chill. Worth every penny, McD's might be cheaper, but it'll kill ya faster!

A cool and relaxed, if somewhat kitschy, spot. But the mahi mahi in the Hawaiian grilled fish burrito lacked any noticeable flavour, and the tropical pico de gallo was far too sweet and overwhelming.

Food is on the pricey side for what it is, but that's the norm for the city. Food tastes good and the portions are big. Friendly staff & cozy environment.

Healthier than Chipotle and perhaps even more yummy. Love the ambience and Boylan fountain sodas as well!

Decent (but not mind blowing) burritos. Boylan's fountain sodas are just better than regular soda. Lots of local competition, but worth at least one trip.

Duke's chicken burrito is stellar. Not your cookie cutter burrito. Healthy, filling & yummy

I don't get how food that looks this good with such big portions is so flavorless. Go around the corner to the shady looking taco place on 3rd Ave, Taco and Tortilla King. So much better.

Get fajita veggies instead of rice, great assortment with squash and zucchini!

Good selection of bottled/canned beer for a counter-service spot.

Boylans soda in the fountain is a nice touch. As are the fish in the entryway (real fish). Food is just so so.

There's a problem when I taste the onions and I don't taste the meat. Even the salsa they give with the chips is flavorless. Given this place a few chances. Would like to support, but gotta improve.

Roasted chicken and rice are a bit bland. Need to add salsa. Burritos come with chips and salsa!

Atmosphere is great. Food is hit or mix.

Their signature hot sauce is good. & I don't even like hot sauce.

The sodas are all Boylan.

This place is awful. The food is bland and it's overbranded for such mediocre food. You'll never see more than 4 customers here during lunch. It's really sad. I'm really sad. I wish it was better.
