The Counter has a great reputation but seems to be a victim of its own success. At 3pm on a Sunday it took 35 mins to get a coffee and nearly 1 hour for food. Won't be going back.

Breakfast 👌🏼. Outside bit is on the river so avoid after a heavy night.

Very delicious food. Shame the service was so slow: 20 mins to order, then 30 min wait for food. Speedier service would make this place awesome.

Coffee is so-so, but the breakfasts are really good! Get there early at the weekends to sit outside in the sun.

Incredibly slow service. Almost 1 hour wait for the team to plate a premade preheated pie. The struggle is real.

Ordered a drink but didn't receive it with my food, I asked for it when I was halfway through my meal. Finished my meal & still hadn't received my drink so asked for a refund which they agreed to.

Staff were so kind as to give me some tap water without an order while I was on a long run and had brought no money. Looked at me funny, but didn't let me die of thirst... :)
