Ditch all the 'Chinese/Indonesian' restaurants, go get the real Asian stuff. List is in random order.
1. Nam Kee
Vincent Oord: Made famous by Kees van Beijnum's book 'Oesters van Nam Kee' (Nam Kee's Oysters), so you should try them at least. Not very friendly but very efficient staff, good chinese food and free tea.
2. Thaise Snackbar Bird
Vincent Oord: Always packed, not just because it's a hole in the wall.
3. Raan Phad Thai 2 (v/h Klaas Compaen)
Vincent Oord: Ask for the Larb, a meat salad dish. It's not on the menu, but they will make it if you ask it nicely.
4. Oriental City
Vincent Oord: The place for dim sum in the weekend.
5. China Sichuan Restaurant
Vincent Oord: Enjoy good spicy Chinese food while enjoying the Italian Riviera mural paintings, a left over of the previous owner.
6. Tibet Restaurant
Vincent Oord: Do read the descriptions of the items on the menu. They are hilarious.
7. Thai Deum
Vincent Oord: Get's all his ingredients fresh from Thailand. Enjoy your meal being cooked on the huge woks at the front of the restaurant.
8. New King
Vincent Oord: Looks pretty classy compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Food is pretty authentic too. Opened till very late!
9. Toko Dun Yong
Vincent Oord: Grab anything from fresh Chinese ingredients for you cooking, to rice cakes and ming vases.
10. Japanese Pancake World
Vincent Oord: Only place in Amsterdam to get Okonomyiaki. If you're lucky it's opened.

Vincent Oord: Nice fresh sushi for a reasonable price.
12. Hakata Senpachi
13. Nagomi
14. Saigon Cafe
15. OCHA
