Be sure to visit during the annual Grape Stomping festival in September! Great food, fun, and wine!
Great place to spend a day 'on the beach' with the kids. Free (pay to park), no lifeguards but roped off where water gets deep. Lots of boats, camping and great scenery.
Every other year they have a Civil War Weekend here complete with reenactment. Next one is Sept 11, 2011. Also three gorgeous views of the Gauley River. Great day use park.
