There are TWO lines for ordering. The shorter one is usually on the right (closer to the soda fountain) and snakes back towards the fresh fish counter. Also, they now take Visa and MasterCard.
Solid wine selection along with bottles of Stella if you'd prefer a beer. Located on the Hill St. side of Grand Central market. Tried the oysters, tuna poke and shrimp cocktail, was very impressed.

amazing oysters, One of the freshest and flavoured we had. Grilled octopus is by far the best appetizer. Crab cakes are tender and of superb quality.

Follow painted lobsters to Lobster Pound (only 4 steamed lobsters, clams & soups). Skip Soups-watery & lacking in taste. Great steamed Littlenecks + lobsters but wish U got ur pick of M or F lobster.

Known for their #1 of Maine-style lobster roll (w/ 1 WHOLE lobster), this roadside shack in Wiscasset (right before crossing bridge E to Edgecomb) can't be missed..1-hr long line just to order!

My Monterey go-to for seafood for 20+ yrs: NE clam chowder in a bread bowl, bucket of steamed clams, Cioppino + always a great view of the Bay & abundant marine life below Fisherman's Wharf!
Know what ur getting...ask waitress to bring #1 (larger) vs #2 (smaller) Blue Claw crabs to compare sizes - varies daily! I eat 'em Shanghainese way-simply steamed-w/ Chiangkang Black Vinegar sauce!
Why drive to MD to have best whole Blue Crabs done MD-style or in a garlic sauté + MD Crabcakes when u can come here?! MD Crab & NE Clam chowdas (altho' watery) are tasty. Order drinks & wait it out!
My other faves: NE clam chowder, MD-style Crabcakes, local fried scallops, potato salad, & corn on the cob (when in season July~early Sept)!

After a ride on the 6, F, & their courtesy shuttle from Carroll Gdns stop, it was still a 2-hr wait...even after a friendly Samaritan gave up her spot on wait list for us.
My advice: kick bk w/drinks & cold/raw platters on their 1st flr deck, & change to the upper deck for sunset. You'll be drunk & soaking it all up by then!
The avocado cream sauce goes so well with the fish and rice. They have brown rice, quinoa, and all grains for different diets. I love it!
Old school restaurant and it shows, But the view from outside is great. Topside is the only way to eat. the Frutta Di Mare was just ok, but wow the Lobster Mac & cheese was the best we've ever had.
The bloody Mary's are awesome. Try the clam chowder, the best I've ever had. The twin lobster plate was out of this world good.
Good spot if you are 50 or older. Head next door to Portland Lobster Co. for an outdoor patio and live music!

Alaskan King Crab @$42/lb (1 jumbo leg) supplier is frm CA & was fresh but meat was brinier than sweet. Blackened Grouper-fresh, tasty & not too oily-good find! Potato salad was bland & starchy today.
Amazing views if you sit along the side. Get the fish sandwich, it's made with local Grouper!!
Be sure to arrive early to grab a table out on the deck & the view ...especially on a nice day!
The pan fried lobster and grilled shrimp with garlic sauce is spectacular! Try the conch fritters as well, they are amazing!
The Amber Jack and the shrimp were great. Keep in mind that the shrimp still have their heads!
