Go straight to the top floor. Frescoes and mosaics are amazing.
They have an excellent collection including work by Caravaggio & his coterie of imitators but the real knockout is the giant fresco by Pietro da Cortona. Stupendous.
The place feels like a crypt run by surly career waiters. But hey if it was good for Fellini & Valentino then it's good for you. Get the Spaghetti al Moro, their unique take on carbonara.
Audrey Hepburn stayed here while shooting Roman Holiday so the least you can do is get a drink at the bar. They make a good negroni and sometimes there is a pianist.
The work on display is pretty hit & miss but it's an interesting space and worth a visit.
Best gnocchi I’ve ever had. Fantastic restaurant, super Roman and rather difficult to get a booking at due to its small size and substantial popularity.
Only open 9am-12pm on Sundays (and not in July & August) but well worth it to see another Borromini master class in light, geometry & harmony.
