    The pat la Frieda burger blend is especially good here. Get the dry rubbed wings with buffalo on the side. Come for Rangers games.

    I stick by this place as an amazing quiet gem. The liquor selection is virtually unparalleled, and nothing is more soothing than summer sun streaming through the slats of the blinds at cocktail hour.

    Serving the Garbage Plate, the penultimate of bachelor cuisine. You'll have to travel to Rochester for the original, though. Share one with somebody you drink with. The morning after, of course.

    In the overcrowded and obnoxious Greenwich Village scene, this noir spot on the edge of the neighborhood is a moment of civility. Table service, dark features & vintage pane windows add to the appeal.

    My favorite bar-y bar. Have loved it since moving to the city. Great place for a beer and a yummy plate of fill-in-the-blank bar food.

    They are known (for good reason) for their La Frieda burger and tater tots, but their catfish sandwich and bloody mary are both v solid choices

    Grab a “Cheeseburger Plate” – a plate of fries, mac salad with two cheeseburgers and covered in meat sauce and spicy mustard. Great to eat before going out or while nursing a hangover.

    Daddy-O is the nicest & most layer back bar in the area. It has a high quality selection of whiskey + the comfort food is awesome - especially the burger w/tater tots & Moroccan chicken sandwich

    Possibly the only place in the city that serves Rochester's most famous contribution to haute cuisine, the Garbage Plate. Besides the price difference, a solid take on the original.

    Purity Vodka greyhound for the win. Lunch everyday, free wi-fi and plenty of TVs for your sports games. Go Rangers!

    Go try the house Porter; it's chocolaty-beery goodness in a glass. The top shelf selection is amazing for a bar this size, and the bartenders know their stuff inside-out.

    Open during the daytime for lunch! Try The Famous Grouse Blood and Sand and work using the free Wi-Fi. Love it here!

    Disappointing Old Fashioned. Weak pour of their standard Jim Beam Black (even though I've asked for a Rye) and too much water/sugar syrup. Other cocktails are great and food is above average for bar.

    Best to order from their list. Regular cocktails don't pack much bite. But their designer cocktails will not disappoint.

    Watch your drink. Bar backs will snatch it, always. Great joint, good good but staff is annoying. Trained to push drinks and pour nothing more than what you pay for.
