Jürgen Kiener11월 2, 2013Have a couple of hours to kill and don't have a ticket to go past security? Well, choose between free wifi (T4&5) OR a food court (T1). Both in the same place would have been too convenient, I guess.

Convenient from the city, much closer than Newark and covers all top international destinations. Can't wait to actually visit New York
To get to anywhere near 14th St., including the East Village and Union Square, take the AirTrain to Howard Beach, A to Broadway Junction, then L to Manhattan.
Fly Jet Blue whenever possible and opt for Even More! It includes expedited security, early boarding and more leg room.

Love the new American terminal. Be careful to get to the gate ten minutes before takeoff. I didn't do that today and added many hours to an already long day

Make sure to wear your walking shoes. In terminal 4 the very last gate at B41 is faaaar. Some good shopping and food along the way if you have some extra time

Now they are asking to take out not only water and PC but salt, pepper, pills, cosmetics, foods and candies for explosive materials inspection. Oh boy...
Will Wallace8월 28, 2013Check out the outdoor roof deck (really a patio). The Relaxation Room is nice but the lounge chairs don't recline yet they look like they should. That's the only negative.

Free wifi is only up to 30min. Terminal 8 AA bag drop off has long lines but they move quickly. Security was fine. Below average food options at T8 – McDonalds or Aunt Annie's are your best choices.
If you're in delta terminal 4 in the 30s go past the hilariously 9 dollar ham sandwiches and get a coffee and a burger for under $8 at SHAKE SHACK
New Delta Terminal is big on shopping, and zero on TSA flow or gate accessibility. Expect 45 min at 6am to get through security, the walk 1/2 mile to gate
Pro-tip for Terminal 4: Shake Shack has better coffee and breakfast sandwiches than Peet's (and everyone else here)- The Sapphire Bar beside gates 9 & 10 in Terminal 7 is a real hidden gem at JFK - super quiet, comfy and full of great gin!

Sammy's beach bar & grill is a great way to knock yourself out for a redeye. 'Course you're paying out the ass, but it's Sammy Hagar's personal Hard Rock Cafe. You like Chickenfoot? Sick bro.

Always nice to have the option of taking the train and air tran directly to the airport. No need to pay an extravagant amount for a cab.
Go to the Mastercard Lounge in the American Airlines terminal. Free wif, comfy chairs, iPads, and plenty of plugs to charge your devices; just flash your MasterCard at the front desk!
DuDo's has serious representation in T5, but there is an Illy hidden at gate 18 that serves decent coffee and Balthazar pastries.

Sun country check in isn't always open, so print your boarding pass at home if you're not arriving close to your take off time.
The C concourse Admirals Club can be less crowded. Might be worth the walk.

Bagagli scaricati velocemente- If flying Delta to LAX, LHR and SFO, check in at Terminal 2 with the Business Elite, First/Business Class, and Medallion people. Better than elbowing with the masses at Terminal 3.
Want less stress? Only carry on what you can fit under the seat, especially if you are checking luggage anyway. This way you can relax and watch the masses board. You can then just stroll onin and
Flying into terminal 4 with checked baggage? You have just enough time to hustle to Shake Shack and back right as your bags come out. Bonus points if you eat in the taxi line and make everyone jealous
If you have an early morning flight, stay the light before at the very hip TWA hotel - great vibes and dining!
If you have a opportunity to fly JetBlue, do so. The airline is great & there terminal at JFK is really nice with some GREAT restaurants!
