If you're getting a taxi or an uber / lyft, walk 5 mins down to LAX-IT. You'll save about $25+ by just doing that.

The lines are crazy long, but they also move pretty fast. The security folks have it down to a science. You never know though, I'd still get here 2 hrs before your flight.

If you have a long layover and construction here is the bain of your existence; take the Lot C bus to the city bus terminal and jump on the Big Blue Bus #3 (Northbound) to Santa Monica for US$1.

This place is crazy . be ready to swap gates.TSA is a little bit more specific any other airport I have been too which is expected, so be ready for instructions.

Almost 15$ for a sandwich in Terminal-5(Delta) "Original Farmers Market" is exorbitant. You pay 5$ in the "Seven Eleven" shop in the arrival level in the International-Terminal.

When travelling with a buddy, NEVER BOOK ON SEPARATE AIRLINES. I flew Virgin. He flew Alaska. We were literally at the 2 furthest terminals you could be at LAX... Hope you enjoy long walks!!

Correction: you cannot now ALWAYS use your mobile device. You may if you are travelling on a US carrier. All other carriers have different rules and most have not passed this law yet.

If you're on a long layover, Encounters is the best place to wait it out. Barbarella-style 70's decor with a view of the runways makes you feel like the swinging jet-setter you are.

What an incredible shitstain this airport is. Useless shuttles (all are for parking and employees - so get ready to walk for 30 minutes to your terminal through clouds of exhaust, weed, and urine).

Decent airport. Lounges here are awesome. The stores are often super far away from the departing gates. No smoking areas inside is a downer too.

If you're riding a rental bus to your terminal it may be faster to get out at Terminal 1 and just walk. Driving between the terminals is always bumper to bumper so the bus can take forever.

The rental car return is usually pretty far from the airport so buffer an hour for traffic between return center and the airport during rush hour!

I expected more. Very few food places and shops in domestic area. Plus, if you have an international transfer flight with a stop here - you would have to go out, pick your bags and change terminals.

Love the quick check in I totally forgot about the beverage rule. TSA got a bottle of AZ green tea and watermelon drink along with a bottle of water.

If you travel more than 5 times a year I strongly suggest signing up for TSA-Pre. They don't collect anything more than the government already has ;)

Enoooorme. Llegué en un vuelo doméstico de united y luego tenía que tomar uno internacional y caminé como media hora. Varias salas vip con Priority Pass, eso sí.
