I loved the ambience and attentive service at Omen. We ordered the seasonal tasting menu: the highlights—pickled vegetable in adorable ceramic cups, sashimi, an amazing eggplant dish, and a custard

The udon here is great, but some even better bites (cold burdock root or yuba with crab) can be found in the ever changing, seasonal, multi-course special meal. Expensive, but oh so worth it.

This is a perfect sashimi place with a good staff. Hot sake, salmon and tuna sashimi & tempura are my favorites!

#SallySays: My favorite restaurant in NYC is definitely Omen. This place has a country Japanese feel and I always had the best time here. Get the green tea ice cream for dessert, you won't regret it!

Great presentation! Sashimi is very fresh and the custard pear compote dessert is excellent - my only gripe is they didn't have real chop sticks given the higher prices.

Best green tea served non stop and I had the tuna tartare which was superb. Friend ordered salmon teriyaki - also delicious.

For some odd reason you'll see fashion editors, creative directors and downtown artists here which creates an interesting vibe. This place rules just for the food and staff. -Diana

Best Agedashi and Sashimi I have ever had. Also of note: the Shabu-Shabu and the Omen Udon (served cold).

Unusual jap for nyc.Kyoto/Kaiseki style. went 6/09. Is very good but some dishes are cold and not cooked.

NY. Great traditional Kyoto-style Japanese food. The sushi garden tastes as good as it looks.
