If you share any interest in Japanese martial arts drop by there, you might just come by a Kendo exercise. Do ask if it's ok to take pictures just for politeness. I saw a kendo tournament, impressive!
Five days were a perfect time to see most of the main sights and leave enough time to relax. Do some research on which places you want to spend the entry fee. Kyoto is Japan in a nutshell, amazing!
Lovely hostel with private rooms, super friendly hosts and a very new and clean interior. I would always choose to stay here again
Great noodle place, my Udon were amazing! If you're on your way to the tourist spots eat here and avoid the tourist prices a little further.
one of my favourite 熱炒 "fast fry" restaurants in Taipei. food is great and afordable, usually there's always a seat available. They seem to not use MSG with is a great plus. I enjoy every dish there

Breakfast was quite enjoyable, Quantity was nice in my opinion. Pancakes were not the best but I've had worse
Authentic Sichuan Cuisine, Gong Bao Chicken was delicious, I also enjoyed "old skin soft tofu", it's the dish with Tofu cubes on the picture
Agree with all the others, if you need anything deepfried: this is your to-go-place! very delicious, not greasy at all and a huge variety of choices.

Wood barrel beer, great tasty dishes and cozy surroundings will make you feel the Bavarian "Gemütlichkeit". We had a great dinner there, probably make a reservation as it can get pretty booked out
Tasty, big portions, good prices and a nice beer garden in summer time will guarantee a good time if you're hungry. Usually they offer different specialties every day (Porkleg day, Schnitzel day etc.)
