- Jan Murdoch5월 25, 2014Beautiful spot to enjoy appetizers and drinks before the theater or an after dinner drink. Friendly and welcoming staff!
- Excellent choice for a hotel. The old lux of Manhattan. Ask to be introduced to Matilda who hangs out in the lounge lobby! She has stories to tell!
- Oh dear. I loved the hotel and it's staff. Terrific. But the street noise, and the fighting in the room next to us made our stay unbearable 😟
- HotelChatter7월 8, 2010Excellent, excellent lobby. Head here for tea or for some of the best thick fries in the city. Ask for the wifi code at the desk & do a little work...and don't forget to pet Matilda, the lobby cat.
- New York Guest Tourism Services10월 5, 2010The lobby is the perfect place for a cocktail or cup of tea on a rainy day like today. Couches are comfortable, service is friendly. If you're lucky you can hang with Matilda, the cat in residence.
- Steff Hind9월 15, 2014The French martini was great, the bar is relaxed. There is a hotel cat that we are yet to spot
- Trae F2월 22, 2015Cocktails and people watching are the reasons to stop by here. Great history to this place too. Check it out.
- Amy H7월 21, 2010Matilda is adorable! (: And the beds are so comfy. but the rooms are super quaint, meaning it's a squeeze- especially for the price. It's a very attractive place, however.
- Candace Selph8월 10, 2014Rooms are small, but comfortable. Very close to Times Square. The Guinness tastes like they do not get many requests for it (flat), and the cocktails are way over priced ($22.00 for a cosmopolitan).
- Larry Augustine2월 26, 2015Hanger steak was awesome but cocktails were insanely over priced. Small rooms but quaint and close to everything.
- Tamara H6월 11, 2012"The regulars met almost daily at the bar and included the likes of Dorothy Parker, George S. Kauffman, Robert Benchley, Heywood Broun and New Yorker mag founder Harold Ross." (via @ShelfAwareness)
- Great service, great rooms, excellent location, the best hotel in Times Square
- Loved the hotel, but seriously folks, for $500 a night, put in some serious double glazing.
- Justin Schuck12월 10, 2012You can't beat a hotel that has FREE wifi throughout and stocks their fabulous bathrooms with L'Occitane products.
- Young to Publishing9월 11, 2011Beginning in 1919, this Midtown hotel hosted Algonquin Round Table (or "Vicious Circle") meetings to exchange bon mot. Writers incl. Robert Benchley, Jane Grant, George S. Kaufman, and Dorothy Parker.
- Iain Macleod6월 4, 2014If the free coffee at the station on 2nd floor is not for you, head to Gregory's right across the street for a far superior product.
- 🏄Mike Rich6월 30, 2012Nice midtown botique hotel...get a suite. not to much money but well worth it in the land of pod hotels
- Sit in the lobby and order a drink as you people watch. It's got to be one of the most fascinating places to see tourists and New Yorkers alike.
- Laura M.7월 10, 2011Booked a room here on hotwire and therefore didn't know what the hotel was until I paid. Awesome deal!
- Erin Finnegan1월 19, 2013Mediocre food and cocktails, above average dessert, but the super nice concierge will give you a tour if you ask. Not at all stuck up for such a classy establishment...
