The "goden tibs" are beef short ribs that are baked where they almost seem fried, comes with the bone. Almost tastes like Chinese food. Delicious with the tomato salad and injera and sauce with it.

I came in around 4 PM on a Monday, hardly anybody there. Very quiet place, and big portions for the price. Try the Mehaberawi dish; 4 different vegetarian options and 4 meat options all in one.

Gorad-gorad is delicious, as is mixture of meat w/njera- great tomato salad too. Delicious, cheap, nice & quick service. Hole-in-the-wall. Get the Amber Beer!

Wonderful spice, great portions and the owner told us when he thought we were ordering more than we could eat and spending too much money! I love honest places.

portions are very large. id recommend for 4 ppl getting 3 entrees - some are made with some bread inside them, so they fill you up

Get the vegetable platter— super cheap and enough food for two. The Ethiopian beers are also really good and wonderfully inexpensive.

The vegetarian combo is delicious. We supplemented with two meat dishes and had more than enough for 4 people.

Vegetarian plate is super awesome. Enough food to split for two. And (at time of writing) only $11! Less oily like other Ethiopian places.

Best Ethiopian joint in town. Tiff injera the real deal. Kitfo and Gored Gored best in town as are the lamb tibs!

This is my favorite Ethiopian place in DC. Sadly always crowded. Kitfo is amazing.

While I've enjoyed friendly conversation with the staff, I've become a fan of takeout especially since they've finished the garden out front.
