If you drive across the bridge and park at the visitor center at the north end, you'll have a $6 toll to get back into the city. Park at the south end visitor ctr & walk across - no toll.

You have to be patient if you want to shoot a classic "the bridge in the fog" picture. Just don't give up and return as often as you can!

See the bridge from fort point! Go to the lower portion of fort point there's free parking !

To make your visit more memorable, bring your running shoes and go for a run from one end to the other and back. Distance ~5km.

Driving on the bridge is nothing spectacular. Find a place to get a good view near the beaches and take a picture instead.

It's pretty windy and chilly over the Bay. Wear appropriate clothing, and watch out for bikers.

The best way to visit is to go to the view point on the hill nearby at midnight on a full moon night. Surreal!

Reaching the bridge from Downtown San Francisco? Take any Golden Gate Transit bus along Mission St., Civic Center, or Financial District & tell the driver to let you off at the toll plaza

Do yourself a favor and walk the bridge, it is a wonderful (and windy) experience :)

There are dolphins and seals in the water below the bridge. Just pay attention as you are walking across, and you will see at least one.

Take a walk on the GG Bridge you won't regret it even on the foggiest or cold days!
