eifeh1월 18, 2015Best affordable sushi in SF! Service can be slow, but always friendly. Try the rolls (Hawaiian #2: albacore and macadamia nuts) and the baked mango dish! Cash only. Get there before opening or wait.

It's fun to watch the chefs make magic from the bar seats and if you have a thing for baked appetizers check out the mushroom & jalapeno dishes.

Order: baked mussels, spicy scallop roll, crab hand roll; nigiri: tataki albacore, sake, hamachi, unagi, uni (if available), saba; bonus: mango salmon roll.

The salmon sashimi was the best I've ever had. Ordered the Hawaiian Roll #2 for the crunchy macadamia nuts but was underwhelmed. Total bill for 2? $50.

The spicy hamachi roll has hamachi, jalapeño, lime slices, sprouts, avocado, and is some sort of magical deliciousness.

Worth the wait - hang in there! Baked mango sea bass and best albacore in town make it worth it.
- Be sure to try the albacore tataki nigiri. I think we bought them out one time.

Always get the Baked Mussels for appetizers. When going through the rolls, I say try their specialties. Hawaiian Roll #2 (Mango) is way better than their Spider Roll. Cheaper too!

Get the baked seabass - it's baked on a mussel shell with mango. An unexpectedly good combination. Also, the fish is just so fresh here.

- Must haves: baked mussels, spicy scallop roll. Not popular with the "zomg California roll is great sushi" crowd but worth trying: uni and amaebi - with the heads (not on the menu).
- Albacore, spicy tuna, hawaiian role... All awesome. But be prepared to wait.
Hawaiian role #2. Nasu. Jalapeño pepper. Mango salmon. You can thank me later.
