Just get a ton of pirogies, but also the matzah ball soup is pretty stellar. In fact most of the soups are great.

Fried potato pierogi and a side of kielbasa = perfect breakfast or post-drinking meal. Seasonal short-rib pierogi are also very tasty.

A smoked turkey sandwich is an unlikely winner at Veselka, a riot of flavors like chipoltle, cranberry, the fennel in Amy's bread, and thinly sliced, smokey turkey.

Great midnight food ! Killer grilled cheese and one of few places in the city that pulls off a bison burger. If you're with a group, expect to wait.

At brunch, the salmon & latke Benedict is unfair good. Order kielbasa with your pancakes, because it's a Ukrainian joint and therefore the law.
