Josh E.10월 4, 2014If you are flying to a place that doesn't have a five guys, grab one from the joint at the end of terminal B. Best burger in America.
Even if you're not Pre-Check, always go through TSA in the middle of the terminal...NEVER a wait!
Chris Chandler9월 23, 2012The story goes: George Washington (middle name Dulles) built this airport out of cherry trees and freedom during the Great Depression. The movie Soul Plane provides a historically accurate portrayal.
Well, like others said, the best place on this airport is FIVE GUYS. Also, other thing to avoid about this airport: UNITED AIRLINES, they will always screw you up !
This airport must be the reason why people advise to arrive three hours before international flights. Difficult to get to, slow lines once you do, and long distances to gates.
Fastest way to D concourse from the main terminal is the People Mover, not the train. 👬👬🚚🚚

Have an hour before your United flight? Hop over to Terminal B before your flight to grab Chipotle or a glass of wine or beer at Starbucks!
Use the toilets before Border Control on arrival or risk the lengthy queue!
there's a designed smoking area right next to gate B73. also enjoy the smoothie across the hall.

If you are in the d gates - take the train to the c gates and walk. Far faster and more comfortable than the 1970s people mover

The B Gates food court has an indoor smoking lounge right next to it, forcing diners to have exposure to the awful, second smoke sneaking in from the lounge. Take your meal to your gate.

Vino volo in concourse B is fabulous. Intimate seating. Wine flights are good

If you're stuck in small airplane part of concourse A for a while, take the escalators towards B. There are far better amenities & quiet in the Int'l section of A.
etta y10월 8, 2010You can make Super Shuttle reservations online. It's easy, you can't miss your ride, and it costs about half the price of a cab and takes half the time of the train (when going to Bethesda).
Concourse B is the most airy, open, bright terminal in all of Dulles. Even has a good assortment of food options. If you leave out of A, C, or D, they're a little gloomier.
There's a Dunkin Donuts just outside of both United gates and before baggage claim. Get your morning brew!
One of the most futuristic looking airports in the USA, and fittingly bares some resemblance with some of the local subway stations' architecture
The Chipotle in Terminal B across from the Admiral's Club has breakfast options! Instead of rice, there are potatoes and eggs. Chorizo is a meat option instead of steak.
There is a huge shoulder on the left on the way into the airport. It seems like a great “cell phone waiting area.” Legal?

Pomona Valero4월 30, 2012The shuttle to the Air Space Museum is 0.50 each way. $15 + tip for a cab. Shuttle leaves every 45 min & the museum closes @5:30 these days.
Go thru security entrance on the lower level, by the arrivals area. The line there is so much faster than the main entrance.
Scott Montgomery5월 10, 2013If you have a flight out of Dulles, give yourself plenty of time from arrival to gate. Getting through TSA security is an hour or longer!!!
Between c and d gates there’s a set of food kiosks and restaurants if you hate waiting in long Starbucks lines.
Premium/Fart track does not always apply, prepare to stand in line for a good hour for security even when traveling business and top tier loyalty member.
Possibly the most inefficient international airport east of the Mississippi River in the arrival immigrations sector.

Always helpful, but super expensive places to eat as expected. Only experience is with international flights

Low James1월 13, 2012Five Guys has the best cheeseburgers. There's two locations: one in Terminal A and one in Terminal B. If you plan to have fries, you're better off with a single patty.
William Gunn2월 3, 2016Distance from the curb to C6, 1.1 miles, 30 minutes with no security wait. When they shut down Precheck, they force you through the regular screening.
