eric bornemann: Beautiful old mission with a lot of interesting history that is well told. Be sure to talk the short walk to the river to understand the geography of the site.
eric bornemann: Great cute restaurant with great food. The eggplant starter, striped bass, and steak are all standouts. Helpful that they do takeout, as they don’t have outdoor seating.
eric bornemann: Really stellar Mexican restaurant. The hazelnut mole is fantastic. Great salsa and margaritas. Perfect stop for lunch when in the area.
eric bornemann: Nice upscale restaurant in an old train depot. The bread, foie gras, and radish salad are all great options. Mains are a bit hit and miss. If you have kids sit outside and watch trains.
eric bornemann: Great place for lunch when hiking/visiting the National Park. The cornbread ranch salad is a great choice, and a decent beer selection.
eric bornemann: A surprising amount of old buildings to explore. Some of the area is really touristy, but great for kids (if you overlook the people smoking meth in the parking lot).
