Food is really amazing. The naan and dips, pork shank, redfish, and bronzino are all standouts. Beware the wait staff does try to push you into ordering too much food.
Kind of cheesy but worth it if you have a kid and get Bob. Neat if wet experience and the train ride is fun.

If you like game this is the place to eat. Service is a little weird, but the food is great. Smoked trout dip and the elk main are outstanding. Portions are huge.

The best part of Mesa Verde. You can actually get into the village and get a sense of what it was like to live there. Cool spring that still flows and kept the village alive.

Nice 3 story rental with a big roof terrace and back deck to watch lightening storms and the train go by right in your backyard.
Didn’t get a drink there as drinking craft cocktails in a parking lot isn’t appealing, but the Tinhorn bourbon made with blue corn is damn tasty- pick yourself up a bottle.
Nice walkable town but you better be into trains. Gets really busy in summer so make sure you have reservations.

Awesome food at this low key fusion joint. The brûlée char sui is awesome as are the noodles and filet. You’ll have so many French fries.
Lots of picnic tables and shade. Can be hard to get parking so be prepared to wait.
The trail is great - if you don’t want to do the whole thing start from the south.

Surprisingly good wine with one amazing view on the back patio. The Dutton Red Bled is super tasty.
Great site that you can get down into the Kiva. Very cool and worth the drive.
