    Definitely go with the Omakase Chef's Dinner Special where you can experience a daily selection of Japanese specialties including some delicious sushi!

    The spicy miso ramen with the soft boiled egg on top is a must. Perfect amount of spicy and the combo of the broth and meat is awesome.

    Everyone raved about the pork belly skewers. This one was hard for me but I tried a bite of one and the name aside it was good! We sat at the bar for happy hour and the bartender was super helpful! A+

    Half-priced rolls on Monday nights! Great skewers and fresh, tasty sashimi. The honey fried banana and black sesame ice cream make a great dessert.

    Didn't get sushi, but everything else was really good. Definitely go for anything with the pork belly (skewer or rice bowl)! All three desserts were delicious too :)

    Excellent sushi rolls particularly rainbow roll and classic futomaki. Great ambience and fun crowd.

    We had three sushi rolls.... all.not very good. I've had better. Don't come here for sushi. On the other hand... amazing salmon and steak is pretty good!

    Thanks 4 d tips all! Chose 2 eat here cuz of them. Not disappointed. Very good food! Excellent service. Came for sushi. But amazing grill skewers. Black sesame ice cream. Yumm!

    The saketini with gin is also fantastic. It's all a matter of taste. Also, the Akishika 'bambi cup' sake is amazing (and comes with a take home cup!!)

    Sit at bar. Order sashimi trio, duck and pork belly. Crispy duck thigh is tasty. Skip tofu and karage. Get honey banana and black sesame ice cream.

    Try the skewers for which this Japanese haven is named, as well as the other small plates that rotate according to the freshest seafood that's available that day.

    Oysters aren't worth it. Neither are the green beans unless you feel like eating veggies. Cold ramen is ok. The fresh sushi and sashimi is always safe. Great calamari, chicken sausage, ok hand roll.

    We ordered the DELISH nigiri sashimi & pork belly, as well as a few rolls. Could've passed on the rolls, but the service was QUICK!

    Must try their fantastic sushi! spicy tuna and fried shrimp rolls are amazing! Although anything you order will be great!

    It's got everything you need. Boisterous, after-work izakaya drinking culture? Check. The kushiyaki serving skewered & grilled meats? Check. The raw bar slicing up the freshest fish from Japan? Check.

    The Nasu Agedashi (eggplant & chicken miso) was a surprise hit at our table. Also, try the braised pork belly maki and get a duck thigh under the robata menu.

    You can't order wrong at this place, but I recommend the skirt steak skewer, the miso-glazed fish, and the braised pork belly. All amazing.

    Seared salmon belly/fatty salmon is amazingly smoky and creamy. Eel sashimi is must order.

    Don't miss out on the pork belly. And if fresh sea urchin is ever on the menu, do yourself a favor and order it.

    This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the city. However, quality, service, and selection has gone VERY downhill over the past two years. I will never come here willingly again.

    OMG this food is amazing. Get the miso marinated fish from the robato grill. The eel and avocado roll made me see Jesus. Seriously. Go here.

    The "Shochu Breeze" is the best cocktail on the menu. It's quite literally a warm sunny day AND a cool breeze, all at once, in your mouth.

    Sitting at the bar is better than sitting at the table. It's fun to watch the cooks do their thing.

    If you know in advance your going there make a reservation otherwise you may end up at the grill bar which isn't terrible cuz you do get to watch your food be made

    Skip mini donburi and Fatty toro. Duck fat pork ribs only ok. Eggplant was good but would not order again. Sashimi trio, pork belly, and honey banana are must orders.

    The name suggests sushi - which is good - but the grilled skewers (chicken w plum sauce, duck) and vegetables (eggplant) make the place.

    The Pork Belly is TO DIE FOR. Dinner is pricey, but lunch is pretty reasonable.
