    Loved the bruschetta. Was a unique twist of ricotta and I think honey and hazelnuts. Was so good!!

    Exceptional Italian in a lively setting. Pasta and wine pairing was magnificent, albeit service very slow so be patient.

    Come here anytime, but Brunch is spectacular. Start with the Uova al Contadino and the Salumi Misti. Don’t fill up and have some pastries too…Brioche Caramellato.

    It's a goal of mine to master the cacio e pepe soft scramble. Beware the pre-work food coma though.

    Get the orchestra sandwich. They also do all of their breads and pastas gluten-free.

    The suckling pig is great but too much for two people. The cacio e pepe is fantastic as is the pizza bianca in the bread basket. Tripe is a bit rubbery. Save room for affogato to finish.

    They are open for breakfast so you can send them here early, meet them there for a quick coffee closer to 9 or 10am and then take them over to the Teddy Roosevelt Birthplace house...

    Maialino is rolling out a gem of a happy hour menu in the bar for summer: Roman-style pizza squares; beef and rabbit meatballs; rustic potato skins tossed in pecorino; cracklings and more, all $2-$4.

    They gave me the wrong menu. After 20 mins discovered that it was the wrong menu. The soup was microwave hot. Instead of using napkins they use hand cutted old menus under the bowl. Interesting place.
