Katharine Hardison: Great place to escape the city streets and get some sun. Bring a blanket and book/magazine to do some reading, but don't forget to people watch!
Katharine Hardison: This macaron place is straight from Paris and well worth the line. It's a great starting or end point for a stroll down Madison Ave (walk toward 60th St) to do some designer widow shopping.
Katharine Hardison: Take advantage of the Met while you're living there. That way you don't have to feel pressure to see it all at once because the donation only policy makes it super affordable.
Katharine Hardison: A great variety of stands selling mostly raw ingredients from the local area but some delicious baked good. Plus there are often wine and hard cider tastings from upstate.
Katharine Hardison: A variety of yummy food offerings and just fun place to walk through. Often there are samples sales, craft booths, or other pop-ups stores to check out too.
City of New York: "Foodie heaven! 100+ vendors with diff. cuisines trying to feed you within a block radius. Bring an appetite, do tapas-style tastings, and relax with a view of the Manhattan skyline in the background"
Katharine Hardison: I always try and stop here for a smoothie/juice. There's a wall of celebrities sighted with Liquiteria juices - maybe you'll get lucky and see your own!

Katharine Hardison: You've got to go to the original Shake Shack location in the park! Like the NYC In-and-Out, but I'm partial to the crinkle cut fries.
Katharine Hardison: On a nice day, skip the line at the sit down place and go two doors down to the take-out storefront. If you have time to spare - definitely worth the wait.
