    A NY institution that is sure to please. Had a delicious meal and fun time. Did not experience any of the issues Pete Wells did. Bring a wad of cash or your debit card and get ready to drop a bundle.

    Onion rolls. Apps: shrimp cocktail, bacon, tomatoes & onions. Main course: steak, German potatoes, creamed spinach, fries. Dessert: holy cow hot fudge sundae, chocolate mousse cake, cheesecake, gelt.

    Really nice burger! Ask for the bacon also. If the line is too big, get a place on the bar, have your meal right there and have a nice talk to the bartender. Make a reservation.

    Have had the burger&bacon, but not the steak. I'll vouch for the burger: it's a sizable, juicy beast, with pretty good flavor. Loved the thick cut bacon.

    You MUST get the bacon. The steak portions are large so be careful how you order, Steak for Four easily feeds six people. Don't forget to leave room for apple strudel with schlag for dessert!

    Do yourself a favor & get a the Luger-Burger for lunch, with cheese. Get tomatos & onion, bacon, and fries for the table. You won't be disappointed by the best burger in the city. Make a reservation.

    The cheeseburger was nicely seasoned and cooked to requested temp (medium). Served with raw onions by default, simple. Onion rings were more of strings, a bit on the greasy side.

    An experience that cannot be missed. This place is one of the must dos NYC has to offer. The steak is amazing and the service is truly New York at its best.

    The creamed spinach and the bacon were the real standout dishes. The steak and Luger's sauce were classic and wonderful. The drinks were strong and the desserts were delicious.

    Make a reservation in advance and be sure to try the bacon as it's amazing and the cream spinach is to die for! Don't forget to eat your gold medallion!

    start with the bacon, and don't fill up on the onion rolls. get your steak one level less cooked than you normally would; you can cook it more on your 1000 degree plate. oh, and do NOT ask for a menu.

    Steak for two is a must as is the shrimp cocktail. And the bread basket...OMG!! The steak literally melts in your mouth and no sauce needed. Key Lime pie=heaven!!

    Steak is the BEST.Advise to make early reservation before you come. Waiting are not advisable. Make sure you also bring enough cash because this Resturant don’t accept credit card.

    The steak seems to be a bit underseasoned on purpose to match the signature steak sauce. Requested Medium temp could have been more even across the porterhouse (more of medium well). CASH/DEBIT only

    Great steak for two,nice bacon and tasty desserts. But the truth is I really can’t find many reasons to justify if it is worth paying that much money for a not so extraordinary steak.

    One of the best steaks in NYC. I would recommend a medium rare cook. Don't u dare skipping the dessert. The Sunday ice cream and the cheese cake are both INCREDIBLY amazing.

    The whole meal was amazing. Is it the best steak and sides I've ever had? No, but it was certain worth the price in the experience and pretty tasty food.

    Is it overrated? Yes. Will the decor not be what you expected? Probably. But is the steak swimming in butter amazing? Almost always.

    Doesn't matter where you come from, if you visit NYC then visiting Peter Lugers in Williamsburg Brooklyn is a must, short cab ride from LES, you wont be disappointed make sure to bring your wallet

    Of course steak is perfect. What I want to suggest is Peter Luger Cabernet Sauvignon wine. We've tried 2012, it was perfect, aromatic. I definitely suggest that.

    Bring some money and give it to the matridee to skip out on waiting for a table. Order the bacon, creamed spinach, and a steak for two. Also use the steak sauce on the bread!!

    Even with a reservation there's always a wait but enjoy it...it's all part of the experience. Get the bacon. And order your steak rarer than you like - it cooks even more on the plate.

    The steak here is super expensive but so worth it. Also, if you're going to come here, just go for the steak. You can get fancy burgers elsewhere for much cheaper!

    The best steak house in NYC not only cuz everything is delicious but because the staff is golden the ambiance is perfect. Cash only and I love the old bar and old wooden floors not changed love it!!!

    One of those few old school NYC restaurants that are both legendary and still legitimately good. Bacon is inspiring and so are their ... steaks. Get anything just go here.

    It's a must-go steak house in Brooklyn. Porterhouse , bacon and tomato are must have. You might be able to get a table If you go to the one in Great Neck on weekday night without reservations.

    You can’t go more old school than Peter Luger’s. Their porterhouse steak and tomatoes and onions with steak sauce are the best of classic New York cool.

    We asked Steak for two and It was very delicious. We walked in, so, they made we wait for over 40 minutes to sit down. While waiting Nut Brown beer is the must. Try to make an reservation to not wait.

    I crave the bacon with their special tomato sauce at least twice a week, a must-go to restaurants at least once in your life. If you're in Manhattan it's just a short train ride to Williamsburg. -Alex

    Legendary steakhouse. The service is great. The food is good, but you're definitely paying for the history and atmosphere of this old fashioned steakhouse.
