NYC: The Official Guide3월 22, 2013AirTrain Newark: costs vary by destination. Links EWR to NJ Transit/Amtrak; 45–90 min. to Midtown Manhattan. Look for "Monorail/AirTrain Link" signs (do not follow signs for Ground Transportation).

If you like a gray 60ish look then this should be one of your favorite hangout places ;) Love the Dunkin' Donuts at the baggage claim in Terminal C. It's one of the hippest places on earth :)
If you arrive at terminal A and need to go to terminal C or vice versa, don't exit security or follow the signs to the train. Use the inter-terminal bus. Somewhat hidden. Ask for directions.
Big difference beyond security between terminal A and terminal C. At the security for terminal A should be a sign "food choices dismal beyond this point"- E F12월 28, 2013US Airways flights can be confusing. THERE ARE MULTIPLE "TERMINAL A" SECTIONS. Be careful-- not all screens are up to date since the new merger. Ask for help!!
Steve Dreyer10월 9, 2011I prefer the extra hour to get to atlantic city airport! Get in get out! Takes about 3 minutes to get through security and then get on the other side and enjoy doing whatever you like to do!

Octane9월 4, 2013If you can get a car with no one else on it, you totally have time for a quickey with your significant other on the ride between Newark Liberty Station and AirTran Station.
You can stock up on food for your flight, lots of snacks - even healthier ones available.- Remodeled United terminal has unique kiosk food perfecting stations just about everywhere. Not a bad place to fly thru.
Don't worry about the violent town its in EWR is one of the best airports. Much better than LGA and JFK and easier to get to and from.

If you're wearing a belt or any kind of metal, put it into your carry on before going through security. It will save you and your patrons so much time. Arrive 2hours early for intl flights!

Definitely bettet than JFK. Flights run on time (usually), great food and bars. But NO free wifi.
This airport is pretty large and has a lot of great little places to eat once you get inside.

Bill Curtin1월 9, 2023Being premier makes no difference. Being Tsa makes no difference. Being in first class makes no difference. Security lines are a nightmare. Everyone waits in same line for hours all the time.
United lounges are being upgraded. Food options getting better all the time. Have someone explain the order/payment tablets when you sit down.
Jonathan Jow5월 28, 2014It may not be always faster to do curbside checkin (at least for Southwest Airlines) because the employees are slower (also are contract workers). The inside line moves fairly rapidly.

In terms of efficiency, size and simplicity of process by far the best of the NY airports

SkyMall9월 17, 2010For one of the best steaks in all of New Jersey, stop by Gallagher’s Steak House near gate C120 at Terminal C. There’s a cool storefront refrigerator showing the steaks being “dry aged”.
Best by far of the 3 NYC area airports. Cleaner and less depressing than either JFK or LGA.
Goatha068월 29, 2023The first time in here and Operation is really bad. Have an international flight but have many show stopper for a smooth boarding..Pls ensure that each bag is less than 50 lb and hate self tag!
For Virgin America flights from the West Coast (SFO), it's so much easier getting to Manhattan from EWR than JFK. Although, it seems that flights to EWR cost a little more.
Make sure to arrive early in advance, security lines usually take long (or longer than other airports).
If you travel on a weekend and are flying United, arrive early. They close the main security gate, so you wait in a long twisty line at the secondary gate.

Super easy to get to. Security never has mad rush even on Monday mornings. Simple easy and quick. Love the airport.
Market Fresh by Gate 132 in Terminal C is now carrying full line of kosher Fresco sandwiches (meat)
Ryan Ross8월 6, 2014Make sure you leave your sense of humour on the plane. They don't have them here. Admire also the cheap US flags taped to everything. Disappointing gateway to America.
Have Uber or Lyft pick you up at Departure and not Arrival, for easier travel. Also Covid test available in Terminal B
To find the cell phone lot: follow the signs to the Marriott, and then follow the signs for the cell phone lot
