Returning from an international flight at this airport will cause you to claim your checked luggage, check it again & go through security again. Plan time accordingly.
It is a big airport comunicated by an airtrain. It is far from NYC. It looks old and has a not so good view. There is no place to leave your luggage for a short trip to the city.
Crowded concourses. Super sensitive metal detectors mean I somehow have to take my shoes off going through TSA Precheck, every time. Rude or disinterested staff are the norm everywhere you go here.
In terminal C, look on the floor in the carpeted areas for electrical outlets. They are black plastic circles and you have to slide a plastic piece back to expose the outlet.
To get free wifi you can use the continental presidents club. It seems to be above McDonalds in terminal C. You can sit at gate 75 and still have strong connection.
Speed through security easier. Put phones, watches and change in carry on bag to be scanned. Reduce bin need to laptop and toiletries. Shoes directly on belt first. Fave parking is P4
For God sake! I know the environment is important but put the freaking paper towels back in the restrooms! Those air dryers blow! And not in a good way!
