Missy Robbins does wonders with parmesan and bread crumbs. My favorite of her signature dishes are the artichoke and the malfadini. This is a perfect restaurant; beautiful, casual, delicious, and fun.
long-time favorites: braised leeks. diavola pizza. cavatelli. entrefaux as regular go-to drink.

update: they still remember me! make sure to chat up Joey at the bar. to drink, start with two of my favorite aquavits: cucumber and mango chili. the venison & truffles and the duck are amazing.
a beautiful space - inside and out (be sure to check out the courtyard). do the pairing, but make sure to start with a Tree of Life martini (gin, vermouth, Brennivín)
the blue ribbon roll is fantastic, as expected. you can't go wrong with the marriage of lobster, shiso and black caviar. take your time eating it. then order up another roll.
why is everybody going on and on about the spaghetti here...ohhhh. also: short ribs. mozz in carrozza.
one of my favorite meals in nyc. great for special occasions and/or if you have a big party too (see: the private back room).
i am in love with the throwback design of this place (take a look at their bags: the original phone number!). still a fan of the Super Heebster, the halvah ice cream, the latkes.
